VS

Jack (John Jarratt, star of Wolf Creek 1 &2) is pushed past the brink of his stalking obsession when finally decides to break into Emily’s (Kaarin Fairfax, 3 times AFI nominee) home to take what he wants by force.

However his plans for her pain and his pleasure come unhinged when he wakes up to find himself bleeding and bound to a chair in her kitchen.

It doesn’t take long for Jack to realise that Emily is not the woman he thought she was.

For one night Jack and Emily engage in a twisted and thrilling courtship that leads one to wonder which one of them will survive the night.

THE SOUNDTRACK

The soundtrack to STALKHER is released by Remote Control Records, featuring the likes of Nick Cave, Skyhooks, The Go-Betweens,Vika & Linda Bull, The Angels and Sarah Blasko, with a few surprises – including John Jarratt’s song debut ‘Killer in Me’ and the forthcoming single performed by Kaarin Fairfax’s two daughters, Maddy and Memphis Kelly (aka Wishful) – the sultry dive-bar-esque title track, ‘StalkHer‘.

“The ‪#‎StalkHer‬ soundtrack has to be one of those guilty pleasure albums that comes along every now and then that will have your foot tapping. It kicks off with Nick Cave’s Red Right Hand and great tracks keep coming from the likes of Skyhooks (Horror Movie), Split Enz (I See Red) and The Go Betweens (Karen). The Sarah Blasko track My Man is lovely and even lead man John Jarratt gets on board with two tracks!” Manning River Times

What they are saying....

ABOUT STALKHER

  • “With engaging editing, striking cinematography, nostalgic (read: quintessentially Aussie) art direction, and a killer soundtrack, StalkHer is an experimental romp through the psychological states of two individuals, who each develop in ways you would not expect. It is a film you should probably watch twice.”

    BMA MAG
  • “What a ripper of an Aussie film. John Jarratt and Kaarin Fairfax nail this beauty to the wall. Best psychological comedy you’ll see in a really long time. Great work guys.”

BRAMBLE FORGE - Advanced Screening Punter
  • “StalkHer is a nifty little black comedy bubbling and bristling with surprises and invention. Jarratt and Fairfax don’t hold back, peppering their film with lots of dirty talk and a few moments of fetid sensuality, proving that on-screen sauciness is not reserved for the under-thirties.”

    FILMINK AUSTRALIA
  • “Fans of Wolf Creek 1 & 2 will enjoy seeing Jarratt getting his comeuppance – the hunter becoming the hunted.”

    KAARIN FAIRFAX • ACTRESS/DIRECTOR
  • “Highly recommend spending on a ticket! It is a movie with a real difference and powerful language, and all with your head thinking you get it, but you don’t, or do you? Loved it.”

MICHELLE KLOK - Advanced Screening Punter
  • “STALKHER’s the ultimate Romeo and Juliette story that got old and bitter with grit and gusto that will bowl the audience over in shock and laughter… and it has a kickass soundtrack.”

JOHN JARRATT • LEAD STAR WOLF CREEK 1&2
  • “So just watched the film…what i took away from your movie was this…not everyone is what they seem & no matter how f!cked up you might be theres a perfect someone for everyone! Omg I havent laughed that hard in a movie for a LONG TIME!!! Wolf Creek 3 – Meet the Mrs, Featuring Kaarin Fairfax as Molly Taylor

TALY DIXON • Advanced Screening Punter
  • “It’s an inappropriate funny, romantic-thriller that keeps you hooked; the tale of two people destined for each other yet destined to be each other’s demise, offering you raw dialogue and characters that will make you laugh at all the wrong things.”

ALAN FINNEY • CHAIRMAN OF THE AFI
  • “StalkHer was brilliant! Weird, funny, dark, and vulgar! John Jarratt and Kaarin Fairfax were absolutely brilliant and divine in their performances as Jack and Emily!… It’s a very stylized cat and mouse type thriller. The way I would definitely sum it up would be – “….when an unstoppable force meets and immovable object.” So many twists and turns. It’s a battle of the sexes in an eloquently spoken way. It’s a film that makes you think. And most importantly, it’s a great Australian film. One that is destined to be a cult classic. Take it from me, it’s worth every dollar you pay. Spread the word! ‪#‎stalkher‬”
